It is undoubtably obvious who the MVP of the Year is so far in the MLB. The Houston Astros First Baseman/Outfielder Lance Berkman. He has the second best batting average in the majors with .388, the most home runs with 16 and is second in RBI with 44 (stats have changed since video). At this pase he could become the 17th player in league history to lead the league in Batting
Average, RBI's and Home Runs. The last time this award was won was in 1967 when Carl Yastrzemski had an average of .326, 121 RBI and 44 Home Runs (much lower than Lance's Projections). As long as he keeps up this pace he will definately be at least strongly considered for N.L. MVP.Interview with Lance about his season so far and his Nicknames...

Just to Throw it out there..... the last batter in the National League to have the triple crown was Joe Medwick with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1942. Its been a while and it shows how special Lance's numbers are.
