In the month of May the Toronto Blue Jays have a record of 17-9 with three games left this month. A few weeks ago nothing had been going right for the Jays except for thier pitching. Despite having one of the better ERA's in the majors the Jays record did not show it. Now all of a sudden the Jays pitchers are getting some run support and they are winning in bunches. The one cold bat on the Jays at the moment is Alex Rios who could stat to click any game. The amazing part about this stretch of wins is that it has been done (mostly) without their team leader Vernon Wells who was injured diving for a ball May 9th against the Indians. Also for a long stretch they were without their leadoff hitter David Eckstein and defensive marvel John Macdonald. The question is when these guys come back will it boost the team or split up the good mix of players and result in a worse on field product?
